Francis Bayley (1829–98)

Sea captain. Agent of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company at Galle, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), until 1879. Built the Villa Marina in 1861. Married Lucy Matilda, eldest daughter of Thomas Atkinson, Deputy Inspector General of Army Hospitals, at Colombo, Ceylon, in 1861.
