Conrad Moench (1744–1805)

German pharmacist and botanist. Trained in the family pharmacy. Professor of botany at the Collegium Medicum Carolinianum, Kassell, 1781; transferred with the college to Marburg in 1785. Rejected much of the Linnaean classification system.
