Friedrich Müller (1834–98)

Austrian linguist and Sanskrit scholar. PhD, Tübingen, 1858. Privat-dozent, Vienna 1861; professor extraordinarius, 1866; professor of Sanskrit and comparative language, 1869. Wrote the linguistic and ethnographic portions of the report of the Novara scientific expedition (1857–9).
