John Birkbeck Nevins (1818–1903)

Physician. Lecturer in botany, materia medica, and chemistry, Liverpool School of Medicine, 1848–77. Consulting physician, Stanley Hospital, Liverpool, from 1868. Author of works on naval and social medicine. Translator of the New London pharmacopœia (1851).
