Henry Minchin Noad (1815–77)

Electrician and chemist. Lectured on electricity and chemistry at literary and scientific institutions in Bath and Bristol in 1836. Wrote textbooks on electricity in 1839 and 1857. Studied chemistry under A. W. Hofmann, Royal College of Chemistry, in 1845. Professor of chemistry, St George’s Hospital medical school, 1847–77. FRS 1856.
