William Tindal Robertson (1825–89)

Physician. MD, Edinburgh, 1853. Physician to Nottingham General Hospital, 1854. Active as a speaker and organiser; member of Nottingham Town Council. Local secretary, British Association for the Advancement of Science meeting at Nottingham, 1866. Became blind from glaucoma and retired to Brighton in 1874. Remained active in local politics, becoming an MP in 1886. Knighted, 1888.
