David James Brown (1831/2–1913)
Scottish baker and geologist. Trade premises at 55 Clerk Street and 161 High Street, Edinburgh, and, later, 44 Leven Street. Author of several papers on the Silurian and glacial geology of southern Scotland. Fellow of the Edinburgh Geological Society, 1863–74; member of council, 1874.
