Samuel Buckley Ruggles (1800–81)

American lawyer, land developer, and economist. During the 1830s and 1840s he developed large tracts of land in New York city. Trustee of Columbia College, 1836–81. American delegate to the Fifth International Statistical Congress in Berlin, 1863.
