Fredrik Adam Smitt (1839–1904)

Swedish zoologist. Studied in Lund and Upsala from 1855. PhD, Upsala, 1863. Studied in Copenhagen and Paris. Travelled in Portugal, the Azores, North America and England, 1869. Professor and curator, Naturhistoriska riksmuseum, Stockholm, from 1871. Wrote works on Bryozoa.
