Heinrich Zollinger (1818–59)

Swiss naturalist and traveller. Studied botany and geology at Geneva, 1837. Collected plants on several expeditions throughout the Dutch East Indies, 1841–6. Returned to Switzerland, 1847; director of a seminary at Küsnacht, 1849. Returned to Java, 1855.
