Alice Maud Mary, Princess Alice, grand duchess of Hesse-Darmstadt (1843–78)

Second daughter and third child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Married Prince Frederick William Louis of Hesse, from 1877 Louis IV, grand duke of Hesse-Darmstadt, in 1862.
