George Buist (1805–60)

Anglo-Indian journalist and scientific observer. Editor of the Bombay Times, 1839–59. Inspector of the astronomical, magnetic, and meteorological observatories of Bombay, 1842. Author of numerous papers on the geology, geography, and agriculture of India.
