Pierre Carbonnier (1829–83)

French fish-breeder. Worked in Paris from 1855, making aquariums. Investigated the transport of living fish and acclimatisation of exotic fish species in France. Author of several books on fish and articles in the Bulletin de la Société d’acclimatation.
