Mary Elizabeth Steuart (1880–1920)

Daughter of Lawrence and Mary Anne Ruck and elder sister of Amy Richenda Darwin. Married Robert Travers Atkin, of county Cork, Ireland, in 1864. Emigrated to Australia, where her husband was a journalist; he died in Brisbane in 1872. Returned to Wales with her three surviving sons and married Thomas Ruddiman Steuart (1807/8–95), formerly a lieutenant-colonel in the Indian Army infantry, in 1880.
