Joseph Cross (1844–1910)

Clergyman; later businessman. BA, Oxford, 1867. Deacon in the bishopric of Rochester, 1869; curate of Bishop’s Hatfield, Hertfordshire, 1869–75. Chairman of Crosses and Winkworth, cotton spinners, of Bolton, Lancashire, 1891. Younger brother of the politician John Kynaston Cross (ODNB).
