Coutts Trotter (1837–87)

College administrator. Lecturer in physical science at Trinity College, Cambridge, 1869–84; senior dean from 1874; vice-master from 1885. A member of the council of the senate of the University of Cambridge from 1874. Instrumental in reforming science studies at Cambridge.
