Nicola Antonio Pedicino (1839–83)

Italian botanist. MD, Naples, 1861; then studied botany. Founded the laboratory and botanic garden in the school of agriculture at Portici. Professor of botany, Rome, 1877. Worked on the histology and anatomy of plants and fertilisation.
