Johannes Reinke (1849–1931)

German botanist. Studied at Rostock, Bonn, Berlin, and Würzburg; DPhil., Rostock, 1871. Professor extraordinarius, botany and biology, Göttingen, 1873; professor, 1879. Professor of botany, Kiel, 1885. Leading member of the Keplerbund, an anti-monist organisation, and opponent of evolutionary theory.
