Robert Boog Watson (1823–1910)

Scottish malacologist and minister of the Free Church of Scotland. Chaplain to the forces during the Crimean War. Minister of the Scottish Church in Madeira. Author of ‘Mollusca of HMS “Challenger” expedition’, published in parts in the Journal of the Linnean Society (Zoology), 1878–84. Wrote on the geology of Arran and on the parallel roads of Glen Roy.
