Maria Teesdale (1842–1882)

Poet. Daughter of Nathaniel Snell and Ann Oram Chauncy. Married John Marmaduke Teesdale in 1842. A neighbour of CD from 1875; lived at Downe Hall. Poems by M. T. was posthumously published by her children in 1888.
