James Brands Allan (1808–90)

Physician. MD, Edinburgh, 1838; FRCP, Edinburgh, 1855. Travelled on the east coast of Madagascar, 1830–2. Practised in Forres, 1840s–50s, and London, 1860s–70s. Wrote on diseases in African islands. Cited by CD in Coral reefs.
