Charles Callaway (1838–1915)

Geologist. BA, London University, 1862; MA, 1863; BSc, 1872; DSc in geology and physical geography, 1878. Curator of Sheffield Public Museum, 1874–6. Taught part-time at Hiatt’s Ladies’ College, Wellington, 1876–98. Studied pre-Cambrian and Cambrian rocks of Shropshire and Anglesey.
