Anna Maria Day (1827–1843)
Anna Maria Jerome (1843–1889)

A great-granddaughter of Erasmus Darwin. Daughter of Edwin Court Wilcox Day and his wife Sarah Frances Walker; baptised at Derby. Married Philip Clarey Jerome, a banker’s clerk, at Ashbourne, Derbyshire, in 1843. Lived with him at Sturston, Derbyshire, in 1851. Inherited a portrait of Erasmus Darwin from his illegitimate daughter, her aunt Mary Parker Jr, and sold it to the National Portrait Gallery in 1859.
