Anthony Carlisle (1768–1840)

Surgeon and anatomist. Surgeon to the Westminster Hospital, 1793–1840. Professor of anatomy at the Royal Academy, 1808–24. Vice-president of the Royal College of Surgeons four times, and president in 1828 and 1837. FRS 1804.
