Émile Mer (1841–1921)

French arboriculturist. Graduated from the École forestière de Nancy in 1862. Employed in forestry administration at Chaumont en Bassigny, 1871. Left forestry administration in 1871. Returned to research at the École forestière in 1886. Retired in 1902. Member of the Société botanique de France from 1871; secretary, 1877.
