William Carnegie, 7th earl of Northesk (1758–1831)

Naval officer. Lord Rosehill from 1788; succeeded as 7th earl of Northesk in 1792. Rear-admiral of the white, 1804. In the Britannia, he was third in command to Lord Nelson at the battle of Trafalgar, 1805.
