Thomas Fraser (1840–1922)

Military officer. Attended the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. Commissioned in the Royal Engineers, 1862; captain, 1874; major 1878; colonel, 1885; major-general, 1896; colonel-commandant, 1913. Adjutant-general and quartermaster-general in the Egyptian army, 1882–5. His sister, Elizabeth, married Leonard Darwin in 1882.
