Leonard Temple Thorne (1855–1941)

Chemist. PhD, Würzburg, 1881. Assistant to William Perkin in his Surrey laboratory from 1881. Chemist at the Oxygen Company, 1886. Later worked for Garton Hill, a supplier of brewing ingredients. Invented the ‘triangle method’ of vacuum distillation.
