Thomas Algernon Chapman (1842–1921)
Scottish physician and entomologist. MD, Glasgow University. Resident physician and surgeon, Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Assistant Medical Officer of the Joint Counties Asylum, Abergavenny. Medical superintendent of the City and County Asylum, Hereford. Retired in 1896. Continued entomological pursuits, travelling extensively in Europe. Specialised in life histories of the Lycaenidae. FRS 1918.
