Rowland Mainwaring (1783–1862)

Naval officer. Joined the navy in 1795; lieutenant, 1801; captain, 1830; rear admiral (retired), 1855. Moved to Germany after the death of his second wife in 1835 and married his third wife there in 1836. Inherited Whitmore Hall, Staffordshire, from his cousin, Sarah Mainwaring, in 1837.
