Edward Pellew Mainwaring (1815–58)

Naval officer. Born in Malta. Second son of Rowland Mainwaring of Whitmore Hall, and heir following the death of his elder brother in 1826. Educated at the Royal Naval College and served on HMS Columbine from 1830. Left the navy in 1835.
