Frances (Fanny) Trollope (1810–1863) (1779–1863)

Travel writer and novelist. As a result of financial problems, lived in the US, 1827–31. Published the controversial and extremely successful Domestic manners of the Americans in 1832. Published a further six travel books and thirty-five novels. Moved to Italy in 1843.
