Lady Elizabeth Anne Mould Blount (née Williams) (7 May 1850–2 January 1935)

British pamphlet writer and social activist. Born Elizabeth Anne Mould Williams, she had wide interests including social reform, religion, science, literature, music, and art. On 16 May 1874 Elizabeth Williams married Sir Walter de Sodington Blount, becoming Lady Elizabeth Anne Mould de Sodington. She was sometime president of the Universal Zetetic Society which fostered debates on moral and philosophical issues and believed that the earth was flat. After the death of her husband in 1915 she met Stephen Morgan who was 33 years her junior, marrying him in 1923. In later life she joined the Society for the Protection of the Dark Races in England, and served as its president in the early 1930s. Blount was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and of the Royal Society of Literature. She died at home in Hayling Island leaving much of her wealth to various charities.
