Mr Francis James Bennett (1845–1926)

British geologist. Worked for the British Geological Survey being appointed Assistant Geologist in 1868. He retired in 1899. Co-authored Ightham, the Story of a Kentish Village and its Surroundings with W. J. Lewis Abbott, about which ARW responds to Bennett in his letter of 5 April 1902.
