Dr Benjamin Sharp (1 November 1858–23 January 1915)

American zoologist. Professor of invertebrate zoology at the Academy of Natural Sciences (1883-1915), then at the University of Pennsylvania (1884-1888). Served as corresponding secretary at the Academy of Natural Sciences for eleven years starting in 1890.
