Charles Edward Franck (c. 1870–23 7 1925)

Educated at the Philological School and at University College, London. In 1890 he was Secretary of University College Biological Society. In 1897 he was chemist and under-brewer to Messrs. Trouncer & Co., at the Old Brewery, Shrewsbury, and a few years later obtained an appointment at the Shropshire Maltings at Ditherington. He passed the Final Examination for the Associateship of the Institute in Biological Chemistry in October, 1901.
