Instructions for signing and returning deed [of conveyance for Woodlands property in Hollier Trust]. [JH annotation, 19 Aug. 1863: Received and executed deed. It was witnessed by JH's son William, now recently returned from Bengal and resident at Hawkhurst for next three years. Returned deed to Few & Stamford.]
Received deed of conveyance for Woodlands property, in Hollier Trust, executed by JH. Will advise JH when money has been received.
Sign enclosed authorization for Few & Co. to obtain Hollier Trust deeds from bank. Deeds will be exchanged for £1000.
Received JH's letter of 17 Nov. and full instructions from [Charles] Babbage. Will reply to solicitor of General Reversionary & Investment Company regarding Hollier Trust.
Sending the marriage settlement, which should be deposited with a banker.
Forwarding the draft of the proposed lease. The deeds are to be sent to Dover for registration.
Obliged for his remittance. Requires the key for his title deeds at Drummonds. Cancellation of his will will vest the estate in his eldest son.
Has deposited the new conveyance with Messrs. Drummonds and returns the key.
