Summary:

Sends proposed letter expressing regret that Henry Bingley refuses to accept the office of resident Assayer. Will arrange meeting with Mr. Blake. Received two testimonials for William Buckle. Professor Johnson is 'one of the assayers.' Another £100,000 will be sent to Cape of Good Hope. [JH annotation: Adapted HH's letter and sent it to Bingley on 29 Mar.]
