RBG Kew, Kew Correspondence, Australia, Mueller, 1871-81, f. 329.The MS is on the back of a printed Kew report form, dated 28 September 1881. The report was perhaps enclosed with J. Hooker to M, 25 September 1881. The report, on a Wardian case of plants said to have arrived at Kew on 27 September 1881, stated:Several roots of grass-like plant - possibly may grow.Dead plantsVarious species of Epacrideae ?StypheliaAll quite dead and rotten. It is quite impossible for plants of this character to exist many days in a Wardian Case - Seeds therefore should be sent. The entry in the Kew Inwards Book, 1878-1883, has similar comments; see note 1 to M to J Hooker, 12 July 1881 (in this edition as 81-07-12a)
