Finds that Joseph Paris [?] has left both his addresses so has written requesting him to call on JH.
Sends a parcel received from England and the meteorological and tidal registers kept at Port Arthur. Has he heard of the grievous loss to Sydney by the death of Dr. Burnett? Hopes he is progressing with his labors.
Was pleased to hear of his great reception on his return to England. Endeavoring to start a small scientific society and would be glad of any communications from JH. Sends a series of tidal and meteorological observations made at Port Arthur.
