Monday
My dear George
You will have found my letter—It wd be such a pity—your having all that travelling twice over that if William cannot stay over Monday (wh. I have asked him to write word to you) I wd get Leo to give you his bed on Sunday night & he go into the little maid's room— I wd put you there; but it is so uncomf. for you not to have a fire of your own to sit by— & he wd not mind it for one night— I think you mt get up to Dr Clark early on Monday mg— I am truly sorry for your long day at Mr Woodhouse—
I wonder whether we shall all be having this delicious electric light. If it depends on running water we shall fiind it difficult. It is very nice hearing Dabba's nice little voice about the house again & he is not the least spoilt with all this admiration. Conny Lubbock has just come in to tell us of her engagement to Mr Sydney Buxton—w. took place on Saturday. It was very friendly of her— I told her it wd make her a sort of relation of ours & then told her of dozens more of her future relations of whom she had not heard— She was very open & merry & overflowing with happiness. It is thro' Hollands & Caldwells our old friends. yours my dear G | E. D—
