From Emma Darwin to G. H. Darwin 23 September [1888]

Down Farnboro | Kent

Sep 23

My dear George

I feel it hardly worth while writing to you— Gwenny was m. pleased w her letter, & took it with gt solemnity— She asked whether Mother & Father were coming home & took it away to shew his kiss to Boy—

The first day Morgan played for hours w. her; but yesterday he looked quite pale & knocked up— He is perfectly white & tall & thin—

Laura is here only till Thursday, but Caroline stays on till Bessy returns.

A proof sheet about literature his come addressed Mrs G. D. from a printer in Gough Square— I will keep it till you come— Caroline takes to Boy— Arthur W. is here—

Yours my dear G— & M— | E. Darwin
