Sep. 2—

My dear G—

By all means give Mr Forrest the use of the tanks— We had a foggy mg & beaut p. m. yesterday. There was m. sitting out; but I hardly saw the chicks.

Gwenny & B. paid me a visit on my sofa & played w. the potticles for the 1st time this visit, while I was in bed—

Sara is better than I expected to see her, & sat up each night till 9.30   I am glad to see that her appetite is good.

Bernard went to church yesterday evg. w. Laura & Bessy—& was deeply interested in the sermon, wh. Laura also thought a good one (not Mr Ffinden I need hardly say)—

Wm. is just going—

Best love to Maud.

That wd have been a serious blunder w. your windows—

yours dear G— | E. Darwin
