I am afraid you had but a gloomy drive, & the sun came out spitefully after 1 o'clock.

Here are some more cuttings— A card from L. from Queens-town Thursday—

We have made a comf. start & all going well— This ship has the rep. of being slow, comf. & steady. Weather v. fine"

There is £180 spoil decreed

Snow is made so miserable by the "verdict" that she can only read it in order to write for the Spec. But she says she can't help making it too long (& I fear too warm) I think I will send a copy to Mr Du Puy—tho' I don't believe he wants converting—but it is the most powerful thing that has been said on that side—
