My dear George
Your affectionate note was a great pleasure to me— My feeling on this occasion is almost entirely for the ones closely connected.
The possession of my dear children has carried me through the great loss of my life & makes my happiness now— Hen. came yesterday which was very nice—
The funeral is to be on Friday if possible—
Horace & Ida will go & no doubt Leonard, so that will be quite enough—possibly also William—
I shall like to have you & Maud today very much—
yours my dear faithfuly & constant son | E. Darwin
