My dear George
Bessy has had a bad time w. sickness & pain (not at all severe) but Dr Playfairs (of Bromley) found her better yesterday & changed the treatment & I hear this morning of an excellent night of sleep & I feel sure that she will now soon be well & I shall enjoy you & Ellen w. an easy mind on Sat. I shall enjoy seeing the chicks & Frances playing about—
All the Symptoms of enteritis have disappeared & she takes milk & a little broth without sickness We have a most engaging pretty nurse & she was a great comfort & support to B. in her bad night & also enabled Hen. to cast the care of the night off her mind. I don't find being anxious at all wholesome & I have been knocked up but I slept about 9 hrs last night & I shall be comf today—
My best love to Maud I am glad she is not coming wh. is not civil but she will not be affronted— I am glad you have sunshine for the [illeg]— Yours my dear G. Please let Ida see this. E. Darwin—-
We shall write a line to Ellen— Thank Horace for his letter— You will all be glad when it is over—
