My dear George
Hay is cutting all about & I doubt whether ours ought to wait much longer— The crop is not large, but not bad— The weather seems more settled than ever— Thanks for your pleasant letter, wh— however I found as difficult to read as one of Bee's, owing to the closeness of the lines, & so I hope you will take warning—
I hope a young man will turn up for the children after the loss of Ralph W—
About your visit here it is right you shd know that Amy W. will be here on next Fri. till next Tuesday,—but I believe you wd not mind overlapping her visit for a day or so & the Litches will be here & I think you will come later
yours my dear | G. & M. | E. Darwin
The Sutherlands called yesterday. They rather thought you were here.
