My dear George
William will go to the funeral, if he finds that he can reach Southampton afterwards in time for a meeting. You all sound very jolly, & if it is doing you good, as well as the others, it is a pity to come away— I am not the least worried by change of plans—
It will be very nice to have a sight of Maud with you— I have paid B. Pearce £11—
Wm Snow began mowing yesterday, when we had some rain; but the ground is so baked the hay will take no harm. It is fine again today. Leonard was v. hopeful; but he hears that Mr Fulford means to fight hard; & had given large sums to dissentling chapels
