My dearest Mother
I return my darling's sweet & touching note. My happiness & good fortune are past words. I keep saying to myself how can I have deserved such a woman, & I have up & downs of dread that she is too superior to me to be happy with me.
I am glad dear Hen. is now out of her suspense. I know it will be a real delight to her to have Sara as a sister. I forgot to tell Bessy how very warmly Sara spoke of her liking for her.
What glorious weather, I hope it intends lasting over Sunday.
I find settling down to read rather a hopeless task at present L. was very much pleased at having a line from Frank, please thank him.
This first rate news from Lucerne but I cannot think [illeg] will have move so soon.
