From E. A. Darwin to W. E. Darwin 9 October 1861

6 Queen Anne St

Oct. 9/61

Dear William

Henry passed thro' town on Monday on his way to Oxford for a few days, & will have much pleasure in proposing you.

Your new life seems to begin very pleasantly and I hope you may not get tired of it before you have realized an immense fortune out the 3d bits.

I have heard from Susan that Charles has given up the agricultural College and means to learn farming in the old way—paying for experience as he gets it. I suppose you will have no holiday yet awhile—

Yours affec | Eras. Darwin
